Aquastain
Ciranova® Aquastain is a water-based color stain based on micro pigments for staining all types of wood for indoor use. Aquastain gives the wood a uniform look and brings out the wood grain.
- Provides a uniform coloring that accentuates the grain of the wood.
- Can be finished afterwards with oil or waterborne finish.
- Colors can be mixed with one another.
Preparation
Preparation
Make sure that all old finish coats are completely removed and that the wood is free from dust and other dirt. Can be used on sanded, planed, and brushed wood. Pre-wetting the wood can reduce the risk of overlapping.
Application
Stir and shake well before and during use. Aquastain must be evenly applied with a roller or brush in the direction of the woodgrain. After +/- 2 minutes, remove the excess with a lint-free cloth.
Finishing
After the Aquastain has dried, it must be protected with a product of the Ciranova® range such as Hardwaxoil Magic, UN1CO, Fortico. For more information, you can consult the relevant technical data sheets.
When using a waterborne finish it is recommended to intermediately sand before applying the last protective layer.
